  Pretty home in a very nice neighborhood. The house was clean, for the most part, but some maintenance is needed (doors falling in laundry closet, couch needs cleaning). Coffee, sugar, creamer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash all provided. Kitchen was spacious and provided enough cookware. No laundry supplies available, but w/d were available and clean. I would just suggest maybe a coffee table or end table in the living room (we had no place to set stuff down) and hand towels in the bathrooms. We're personally not fans of having to use paper towels in lieu of actual hand towels.

• Starving Fish and Limited Amenities

  Where to begin? First and foremost the fish tank was completely empty of food in the timed feeder so who knows how long the fish had been starving for. We ended up purchasing fish food and filling the feeder ourselves. Having live animals in a vacation rental house doesn’t even make sense but if you are going to have them then you need to make sure that you are checking on them regularly and that is clearly not happening. There were no hand towels in any of the bathrooms and the soap was topped off with water instead of replacing it when it is low. This comes off as lazy and uncaring. The house is older and has some “quirks” like having to turn hot water on in the tub in order to get hot water going in the shower. The house could definitely use a professional deep clean and is overall missing that personal touch due to being run by a vacation rental company and not the homeowner. It is also extremely limited in the amount of amenities included such as simple things like towels, trash bags, cookware, etc. Communication with the management company was also nonexistent. I reached out to the company itself as well as our assigned contact and neither ever replied. Overall, it is a cute house in a nice area but is unfortunately being run by a company that seems to prioritize turnover instead of individual experience.

• Peaceful respite

  We enjoyed a lovely week in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood so close to the fun historic district of Wendell. The house was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed for our week away from home.

• A few items that need improved

  Nice house, comfortable beds, nice living space. It was nice to have a fenced in back yard. A little disappointing on the small things: The master bath shower was never more than luke-warm at best. I like hot showers. The kitchen is lacking some necessities like a cutting board, steak knives, a decent cutting knife, utensils that rusty, extra kitchen towels, etc. The fish tank was a bit disturbing. The tank looked like it needed cleaned, there was a layer of scum on the top, and it looks like the air hose wasn't working.

  I personally came to the house and adjusted the hot water to meet your preference, and I also responded to your request regarding missing items; those were already in the drawers and dishwasher, which I showed you at the time. I made two separate visits and addressed every concern you raised, and throughout your stay, you expressed that you were pleased with how things were handled.
