Great escape at Shady Cove
4/5 Spent 4 days at Shady Cove. Great cabin/woodsy feel and even though it is located off a busy street it does feel very remote. Brought our 4 legged friend and he had a wonderful time. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is properly stocked to cook and plenty of towels. Owners left a wonderful smores bag to enjoy and there is plenty of wood to enjoy the fire pit. Hamburg Mountain Road is a very busy road - it was difficult to walk my dog on the road as there is lots of traffic. House is close to downtown Weaverville (about a mile - but you could not walk there due to traffic and no sidewalks) with some great little shops and restaurants. We did walk our pet at lake Louise park near downtown and we hiked Rattlesnake Lodge which is just a short drive away. Driveway is a little steep and is gravel only - we had 2 pickups and a small SUV and had no issues. Would definitely come back here again!

5/5 We were very impressed how "supplied" this house was. Was so thankful for that. We didn't have to go to the grocery for the essentials. Loved the location as it was only 1 mile away from Main Street in Weaverville. The house was very clean and comfortable. The house is nestled back in the woods..very pretty.Well Bred is a deli/bakery downtown that is a must visit...yummy yummy 😋
