• Look elsewhere and don’t expect Evolve to follow-up

  Communication with contact person was abysmal. I called contact, left a message, then sent an email concerning early check-in. When traveling, adjusting travel plans on when to arrive takes planning. Hours later with no response, I contacted Evolve, they couldn’t reach contact person either, promised follow-up - result from Evolve nothing. I received an email response over 24 hours later from contact person, too late to adjust part of our plans.

  After checking in, while part of our group went out for groceries, I get text from person left that washing machine is leaking a lot of water from underneath. They grabbed a number of towels to minimize damage and determined it was an internal failure, not hose or gasket. We arrived a few minutes later, called contact person, left message and immediately called Evolve to see if they could get up with contact. In short, they had the cleaning maintenance people respond quickly and make promises about replacing machine along with taking care of towels later. In addition, Evolve said in a email that they would follow-up with me about issue. Unit was replaced 2 days later. But neither Evolve followed up nor did the maintenance person followed up concerning towels even after I reminded them via text and they agreed again. End result we washed the towels ourselves.

  If that had been all, I would have given 4 stars, I understand machines break unexpectedly.

  But later next day there is a noxious stench coming from kitchen corner cabinet and drawers next to it. I would have called maintenance but why since our experience so far was they could not follow up with earlier request, same with Evolve and contact person. We cleaned cabinet, obvious dried stain of something in corner cabinet, unfortunately whatever it was had gone elsewhere as smell never went away, so we stopped using the drawers, pulled utensils out and kept on counter.

  In addition, lack of drinking glasses and coffee cups, meant we had to wash dishes every night, luckily dishwasher worked and they had plenty of dishwashing cleaner as well as other cleaners. Finally, bed upstairs made loud noises anytime either person moved.

  We have used multiple companies including Evolve for rentals. This was first time we had such poor communication with contact person resulting in us having to contact management company, Evolve truly did next to nothing to help
