Once we saw that Waynesville was open to visitors We booked last minute to come up for apples and to enjoy the Apple Festival. This property was perfect! One block off Main Street and walking distance to the festival and downtown Waynesville with lots of neat stores and restaurants. Very clean, bed was really nice--much more comfortable than most rentals. We didn't use the twin in the 2nd room but I assume it was just as nice. WIFI and cable TV were excellent--included local channels and ESPN! (Hubs was happy!) The kitchen was fully stocked--we were only here three nights so I didn't cook but looked around and there was even an Instant Pot!!!
If you're here for apple season make sure to go to Barber Orchards store. Apples, pastries, cider, etc. Best we've found anywhere. If you're a book lover, Sylva has City Lights (new and used) and the Friends of the Library has a wonderful store in downtown-well organized with a huge selection and great prices.
Two suggestions--make sure you bring shampoo and hand soap as that was the only thing missing. Luckily we always carry the hotel samples so not an issue; also, when you get to the house turn down the side street---the parking is in the back. Tons of space and easily accessible. We had to go around the block as we thought parking was in front.
All in all---one of the better properties we have stayed at; we hope to stay there again on a future trip.

We knew the location and since dog friendly we knew it would be perfect for our quick jaunt to Waynesville. The house was very roomy and clean. Plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen. It is an older home so it has its little quirks but that’s part of its charm. No dishwasher was no problem for us as washing a couple of mugs and cereal bowls was simple. A fenced area was a bonus. If it had been cooler we’d have enjoyed it more. If your goal is to be able to enjoy the shops and restaurants without driving your car, this is your place. We were pleasantly surprised that despite being on a busy street, we weren’t bothered by the noise. Maybe a rock house is a good insulator. Also, since no other homes are close, you can enjoy the TV and not worry if your dog decides to bark a bit. We had a small issue which was handled quickly and didn’t impact our visit much. The host was quick to respond. We will visit again.
From the owner: "We are glad you enjoyed your visit- please come again. Thank you, Sharon."
This home that the owners have cleverly dubbed the “stones throw from Main” what is the perfect place to spend a week in the mountains of North Carolina. It was easy to walk to coffee, lunch and dinner. The home was well appointed and comfortable and perfect for my needs. Highly recommended!

This little house was adorable inside and out. Extremely convenient to Main Street. It was also pet friendly, and the fenced in yard was great.

The property location was fantastic. It was close and a convenient walk to everything in town. The only drawback is that it is on a very busy and noisy street corner.
