The views are amazing and the hot rub on the deck was awesome! I would definitely recommend this spot if you want a mountain getaway.

  • Needed to get away to the Mountains

    5/5

The property and the views are great - elevation of 3,500 feet - sweeping views. The house was very clean and charming. The deck was large and was the place to be. The kitchen was outfitted with restraint - only the very basics provided, no can opener. Some maintenance is needed - handles on kitchen drawers pulled off frequently, half of the hot tub jets didn’t work. The owner was very responsive when we let her know. The living room, dining room, and porch furniture is in very good condition and comfortable. The beds, however, are not. The main floor bedroom has a queen bunk bed set up. The lower bed is literally on the floor, so if you are older, have knee problems or back problems, that bed is out. Likewise with those problems is the upper bunk bed which requires the use of the ladder. Upstairs is a second bed the likes of which I have never encountered. It is so soft it swallows you whole and makes turning over almost impossible. Getting out of that bed was nearly back breaking considering the frame is so high you have to swing your legs up and over the side, then somehow hoist yourself out of the stupid-soft mattress before your legs go numb. The house was great but until those beds are changed out I won’t be staying there again.

    Manager's Response:

From the owner: "Hello Richard! Thank you for the great feedback & the 5 stars! It is greatly appreciated. Since the master bedroom mattress is brand new (I ordered a firm). I figured something had to be wrong & had it checked out. In fact, the manufacturer deemed it to be defective & replaced it. The bunk beds are shown in my listing as "low profile" as that is the only option we had for lower ceilings in that room. A ladder is always needed for a top bunk bed. The jets in the brand new hot tub were checked & all work. There is an adjustment for the pressure which may have been the issue. The can opener must have "walked away" but has now been replaced & cabinet handles are being repaired next week! I do appreciate the detailed feedback allowing us to make corrections needed & hope to have you back again sometime!"
