My wife and I loved the cabin. It was close enough to town, but was private and rural. The cabin had all that we needed and was comfortable. Close to the Blueridge Parkway, hiking, canoeing the New River and biking the Virginia Creeper Trail. We would recommend and would love to return in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend to anyone. It was clean and did not smell musty at all as some cabins do. The owners live up the hill but the cabin is very private. The surrounding area was beautiful and near many things we enjoyed such as hiking, driving the Blueridge Parkway, canoeing down the New River and biking down the Virginia Creeper Trail.
This was the most charming little cabin tucked away on the mountain. It's very peaceful and has a great layout inside! We loved the wrap-around porch overlooking the little ravine and creek behind the cabin. The Johnsons are super sweet hosts!! Our family will definitely look to come back here for our annual trip again next summer! Thank you!

This house is exactly what the pictures and description say it is - an adorable little cottage that has enough privacy and peace and quiet to suit everybody. While the description did say it had a little creek, it was a creek on someone else's property that you couldn't get to but you could hear it. And it was definitely close to town; and if you love hiking it was close to a lot of parks with trails.
And of course we did not know what to expect, but upon arrival, the owner had DIRECTV on site trying to get the cable working. But of course we were not interested in watching TV. It was an amazingly beautiful spot, surrounded by Christmas tree farms, and cattle. As a welcoming gift, they left homemade jam and a box of English muffins. The shower was fantastic. Along with all of the linens and towels that they provide. I cannot say enough kind things about this little cottage. We were there for a family reunion in Traphill. It was close to downtown the parkway and Stone Mountain. We will stay there again next year.
From the owner: "They were amazing folks, and we enjoyed having them as guests."
