Plan a trip to the East Coast and stay at this recently remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental house in Oak Island. Boasting a large covered front and screened-in back porch - both with ceiling fans - a yard with a grill, 2 kayaks with life jackets, and comfortable furnishings, this home is perfect for a group of 6 seeking a North Carolina adventure. Play at the beach, surf or fish at the Ocean Crest Fishing Pier, boat the Intracoastal, kayak the Davis Canal, or go paddleboarding!
Bring your fishing rods and walk less than a mile on the boardwalk over the Davis Canal to Ocean Crest Fishing Pier, voted the #1 fishing pier in North Carolina by “Fisherman’s Post.” It is the longest fishing pier on the Southern Cape Fear Coast and is known for King and Spanish Mackerel.
With the Intracoastal and Davis Canal nearby, bring the 2 kayaks provided at the property to explore the waterways. If you want to work on your balance, rent paddle boards to tour the canals.
Take a break from cooking and dine out for some great seafood or southern food. Some top restaurants in the area include Turtle Island, Shagger Jacks, Swain Seafood Shack, Island Way, and Russell’s Place Restaurant.
Make your way to the historic port town of Southport which offers access to Fort Fisher Ferry services that take you to Carolina Beach and the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
Perfect for a spring break weekend, celebrating Easter and my sister's birthday. We had a rainy day and the covered back and front porch was perfect to still enjoy. Close drive to public access to the beach and fishing, which my dad enjoyed! The dogs enjoyed the fenced in backyard. Kitchen fully equipped for Easter dinner. Comfortable, cozy and clean. Will check out again if we need a place to stay at Oak Island. We love Oak Island!!

Centrally located, clean, loved the screened in back porch. Easy to walk/bike to everything on the island. It was the first time we had been to Oak Island and had a wonderful stay!

The home is very nice - comfortable, plenty of space, and convenient to the beach and town! The home was also nicely equipped with everything you need. Those with mobility issues should know that beach access is a 10-15 minute walk through a couple of neighborhoods. If you have no mobility issues, it is a nice, scenic walk.

Thank you so much for a wonderful listing. This house was perfect for us and our dog. The back yard is fully fenced and great for pup, Cornhole and chilling. Sit upon kayaks a great bonus. East walk to the ocean. Clean and tidy with comfy vibes. The host has a book with great local recommendations. Communication was easy. Thanks again.
