This house was very nice with great views! Host responded quickly with questions that we had. This property is pretty remote (which is just what we were looking for), so I would have 3 recommendations related to this house's remoteness. #1 Try to arrive before dark, there are very little street lights, and the road that you have to take to get to this house is steep, gravel, twists/turns, and there are no guard rails for drop offs. Also, the host book at the house says to use Google maps, and NOT Apple maps, because you will get lost. #2 Get your groceries before you get to the house. The closet grocery store (IGA) is about 7 miles away, it is small, and the produce was not fresh at all. The peppers and onions were old and had flies flying around them, and the cucumbers and zucchini were soft and mushy. #3 Don't rely on wifi at the house to do work. Again, because of remoteness - it buffered a lot when we were streaming shows to watch in the evenings. It was not a big deal for us, but just wanted to pass on in case other vacationers need to take a video call, or something important for work while they are vacationing. There was a bad storm that knocked out electricity for about 12 hours when we were there, so not sure if this was the reason for the slow/buffering internet, or not. #4 Bring heavier pajamas, or a sweatshirt if using the game room/bedroom. It is in the basement and gets chilly. The host said they had to get rid of the space heater down there for insurance purposes.
