Christmas family vacation
5/5 This was our annual Christmas family vacation. The cabin was everything we wanted. It was very clean, spacious and a great location. The owner checked in with us on multiple occasions to see if we needed anything during our 8 day stay. Highly recommend the cabin!

Our daughters wedding
2/5 We had 3 houses rented for our family to come in for my daughter’s wedding. There were 2 different days that guys had the road blocked to the house due to maintenance on the lines. Some of our Family members had to go check in to a hotel bcuz they couldn’t get to the house. Our family members also said the house was not very clean

Hi Kathy, the right vacation home is everything, especially for such a special occasion as your daughter’s wedding, and we’re sorry to hear that parts of your stay were disrupted. After sharing your feedback with the homeowner, we wanted to provide the following context:
- Our concierge team checked in early during your stay to ensure everything was satisfactory and were told that things were going well at the time.
- The utility company conducted scheduled maintenance on the road and assured us that any blockages caused by their trucks were resolved within minutes. However, we understand how frustrating this must have been, especially with guests arriving for a big event.
- While we weren’t made aware of wedding-related plans in advance, we would have gladly coordinated with the utility company to reschedule the work had we known.
Please note that the house rules clearly state no events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted. We weren’t notified about the gathering during your stay, and the property was left messy afterward, including litter left by the riverbank.
- We’ve also acknowledged your comments about cleanliness and are in the process of hiring a new housekeeper to maintain higher standards moving forward.
We appreciate your understanding and even extended an offer for a free night's stay to help make up for the inconvenience. Thanks for sharing your experience—we’ll continue to ensure future guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay!Avalon Woods
5/5 The residence was clean and comfortable, the local host was attentive and quick to respond to any needs. Hurricane Helene put a damper on our time there but I can't say anything negative about the residence.

5/5 This was the perfect place to getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cabin was perfect for our family with areas for the kids.
