Great Fall Weekend Trip
5/5 Loved the house and location. It was our 2nd stay here and we will be back hopefully. The sunsets are worth the trip alone.
Broken A/C
2/5 Unfortunately the A/C was broken for the duration of our stay there. We were contacted by the owner the day of our check in that the A/C for 2 of the 3 floors was inoperable and that it would be fixed the next day. This remained to be the story each day with the A/C never getting repaired during our stay. We were traveling with a 94 year old grandma that fell ill during the stay since temperatures exceeded 80 degrees on the two floors during the night. This was especially unfortunate as many of us were traveling from far for my wedding in the outer banks and weren’t able to get good rest during our time there.

Hi Matthew, we’re sorry that this impacted your stay, especially during such an important event like your wedding and with your elderly family member’s health in mind. The homeowners asked us to share a bit more about the situation:
- The homeowner did their best to stay on top of the situation and keep you informed but didn’t want to overwhelm you with updates during such a significant weekend.
- The HVAC technician responded within 24 hours of being notified and discovered a corroded couplet that caused a refrigerant leak.
- Due to the age of the unit, a part had to be ordered from a distribution center over an hour away, which caused an unavoidable delay.
- When the part arrived, additional issues with the compressor fitting were identified, further complicating the repair.
- The lower A/C unit is now scheduled for replacement within the next two weeks to ensure future guests have a more comfortable experience.
We do all we can within our control to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guestsPerfect location
