Awesome Home
5/5 The dock was awesome and had so many tings for guests to utilize. Most rentals.in the lake lock the dock closet up and this one did not. It was super clean as well. Great depth too. House and yard were great with plenty of room and well stocked. One of the cleanest rentals we have had on Lake Gaston.

Extended family vacation
4/5 The best thing about the property was the location on the lake and the beautiful lot. The pier and boathouse were also very nice. The house was advertised to sleep 14 but that was very misleading. We ended up with only 8 due to some cancellations and we would not have been comfortable with any more people than that. The owners definitely need to invest in some relatively inexpensive items that would have greatly improved our stay. Such as a microwave. I had a bigger and better microwave in my dorm room. The mattresses were rock hard too, or in the case of the king bed; a canoe bed. We took the comforter off and used it as a mattress pad to get a little cushion. We also had 2 older people with us who had a very difficult time with the bar height dining table. 8 people could squeeze into the living room to watch a movie, but 12 or 14 people would have been impossible. There was a good high chair and port-a-crib for my grandbaby and we used the walk in closet for a nursery. We had a pretty good stay but the owners need to make a few improvements on amenities and be realistic on how many people would actually be comfortable staying there.

5/5 Great location on the lake! We had a great time with the large yard and lake access. Only downside was the lack of a dishwasher and vacuum to help keep cleaned up. Otherwise great vacation rental.
