  • Wonderful!

    5/5

From the moment I stepped into the little cottage, it felt like I had found a long lost friend. It was even cuter than I had expected. What a wonderful little place that I could tell is very special to the owners as it has been in their family for many years. I feel privileged that my family and I could be a part of memories made at the home. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. We hope to come again someday.

  • Cute cabin but some issues

    3/5

Pros: The cabin is cute, in a great location. There are plenty of cooking utensils, plates etc. and fans/window units which was necessary for a July visit. There was also a welcome snack and some water which was much appreciated after driving in, without much in the way of food options nearby. The fire pit is nice and there is plenty of room in the driveway. Cons: - The water pressure is abysmal. I am shocked no reviews have said this yet. It took about 10 minutes to fill the tub to a couple of inches deep so I could give my son a bath. Forget taking a shower if anyone has flushed the toilet in the last 15 minutes. I tried to email the property to see if we were doing something wrong but realized too late I had used the wrong email address- There were bees in the rafter on the 2nd floor, which is the room my husband, 3 year old and 8 week infant were staying in. It's a cabin and sure bugs and spiders may be moderately accepted but it seemed as though there was a nest in the room. We killed 3 bees in a 24 hour timeframe. No windows had been left open. - The downstairs was cleaned fine but the stairs had dead bugs and debris on them and there were cobwebs in the corners right above the beds.- The posting said the room upstairs had 2 full beds, but it didn't. It had a full and 2 twins. This would have been fine but since we had to bring our own linens it meant the sheets did not fit the bedding. Not sure why it wouldn't just be posted accurately. Not good for tall ppl.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Kimberly, we’re so glad you enjoyed the location and amenities, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:
    - We appreciate your feedback and wish you had informed us about the beehive and water pressure concerns during your stay. Immediate action would have been taken to rectify these issues for you. Please be assured, we have now addressed them and made enhancements to the water pressure to ensure a better experience for our future guests
    - Thanks for letting us know about the dead critters you encountered, this can be common in our rural location but our cleaning team works hard to make sure that the home is free of any webs or critters. We can confirm we have removed the beehive from the property
    - We've recently implemented changes to the property, particularly concerning sleeping arrangements. We're currently in the final stages of updating our photos and ensuring the listing accurately reflects these improvements. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of updated information at the time of your booking
Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!
