From the owner: "Thank you, Sheila! We're so glad everything worked out and that you enjoyed your stay! Hope to host you again in 2025."
This was a great stay in the forest. Very well appointed accommodation with the three bedrooms, fireplace and gorgeous deck.
We were old friends getting together to reminisce about the good old days so the time around the campfire was perfect!!!
The location was also perfect with access to the Blue Ridge Highway as well as restaurants and shopping.

One final note apart from how much we enjoyed the home, setting and location:
I have stayed at a lot of rental properties, and I’ve gotta say that this was the first one where I’ve had to 1) make our own beds when we arrived 2) empty the dishwasher 3) strip our own beds when we were leaving 4) put the bedsheets, towels, etc. in and start the laundry 5) load and start the dishwasher and 6) collect and take out the trash…and pay the $163 cleaning fee.
I look forward to staying here again!!

From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the home, the setting, and the campfire experience. We appreciate your comments on the housekeeping tasks and will consider them moving forward. The cleaning fee covers the final deep clean, but we understand your concerns. We’d love to welcome you back anytime—thanks again for sharing!"
Great place to get away from it all while still being close to downtown Blowing Rock.

From the owner: "We also love the blend of peaceful seclusion in the woods with the charm of downtown Blowing Rock just minutes away is truly special. You get to unwind in the quiet beauty of nature, surrounded by tall trees and fresh mountain air, yet still be close to the vibrant shops, dining, and attractions that make Blowing Rock so unique. We’re so glad you enjoyed it and would love to welcome you back!"
Just a few things others might find helpful when thinking about booking this cabin. Overall our stay was great and the cabin is as described. Communication with owners and rental company was easy! The driveway was not a problem in an SUV, just take it slowly.
For us...the master suite loft has one of the attached bathrooms. That is mentioned online but I read right over it as soon as I read loft. The loft is definitely spacious and has the biggest bed, but even for milder summer temps, it was not comfortable/cool enough at night. There are no air vents but there is a fan. You're also left to waking up with the sun if that's your thing.
We were a party of two couples and decided on the 2 bedrooms downstairs. So one of us couples had to use the bathroom upstairs by the loft. The bed mattresses were comfortable but both beds squeak pretty loud just when moving ever so slightly.
Some kind of map or indicator where the property line ends would have been helpful when exploring the trails. It may be as simple as it goes down to the creek and that's the end, but we didn't explore very far not knowing whose property we were on.
All in all, cute cabin with lots to do off the beaten path yet still close to town and major road.

Place is very clean and well equipped all around; kitchen, entertainment, linens, etc. Very convenient to hiking trails and downtown Blowing Rock was an easy 5 min drive. Loved sitting on the porch and listening to the water babbling in the background. We enjoyed smores by the fire pit every night. We had a fabulous stay!
