  Beautiful location in the Toxaway Community. The drive is beautiful and close to Cashiers and Highlands. The cabin was cozy and spacious, with a beautiful backyard featuring a running creek, spacious deck, pond and fire pit. Both double beds being king size was really a plus. We reserved dinner at the Greystone Inn Restaurant twice, and also at a couple nearby restaurants. There was plenty wood stacked outside for the fire place and fire pit. Couple suggestions to make the stay even better would be to leave basic toiletries like soap and shampoo in case someone forgets, additional clean towels and trash bags. The shower drain in the master bedroom is clogged and water drains very slowly. Other than that, highly recommended and would stay again.

  Seating areas outside are gorgeous. The house is immaculate & has everything you could possibly need. Well equipped kitchen was a plus. Plenty of room. Highly recommend.

• Weekend stay at Lake Toxaway

  Wi-Fi for the kids was great when they wanted to stream something. Living room and outside were newly redone and were great.

  The rest of the house was a bit dated. Had an issue with the master bath toilet. But called property management and the handyman came out to fix it quickly. We would stay here again.

  Beautiful property, beautiful setting. But....I have spent over a month since the stay communicating to but not hearing back from the owner contact and something called Evolve management. Evolve was like a vrbo within a vrbo. Had a septic/sewer backup problem during the stay. Communicated to the owner contact during the stay. No offer to have it checked out; said it had happened before. Having to share 1 working bathroom with 4 people part of the time is not what we paid for or expected. Evolve's website says "Rest Easy Promise" that the property have been fully vetted. Uh, no. Evolve's voice mail system greeting says "We're on a mission to make vacation rental easy for everyone". Uh, no. Evolve's phone system hangs up on you when you follow the prompt to enter the extension # of the person you are trying to reach. I have spent hours and sent multiple Emails with photos and made many calls trying to get some resolution. No responses. The only thing I know to do now is to withhold final payment. Maybe that will get someone's attention. Looks like vrbo needs to talk to Evolve. As of now, I would not rent any Evolve property ever again.

• Great house, location

  We arrived Saturday evening to no heat and a thermostat that wasn't working. Reached out to the property manager and he was instantly communicative. He had someone out the next day to have the unit fixed, and it was a great stay after that! The deck and yard are beautiful and the area is nice, but at least a 30 minute drive to anything.
