    We had to leave b/c within 24 hours of arriving RAW SEWAGE backed up into the house through the bathroom, shower and toilets. The sight and smell were horrendous. The owner was negligent in addressing the issue and getting an emergency plumber immediately. I want to be contacted by VRBO and I want a full refund. When the plumber finally arrived at 11:00 PM, 10 hours after I reported this emergency to the owner, he informed me that he could not do any work b/c the owner was not answering his calls/texts to authorize the work to be done. It wasn't until I texted the owner and demanded that she answer his calls that she responded. By then, we had decided to leave and find other accommodations. We were forced to scramble for hotel rooms for 6 people, including an 86 year old with medical concerns. We had to separate and rent 6 rooms in two different hotels for the duration of our visit to Holly Springs! Obviously I want a full refund and stated this to the owner, which she ignored my comment.

    We value guest feedback and take all input seriously. We’d like to offer some clarification regarding this concern to provide a clearer understanding. The plumbing blockage was reported on the afternoon of the second day of your stay, and we immediately contacted multiple plumbers to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. While most were unavailable until after their scheduled appointments, Roto-Rooter—known for their 24-hour emergency service—was able to assist later that evening. The technician arrived late that night and successfully cleared the blockage within a couple of hours. We understand how inconvenient this situation was and took every possible step to expedite the repairs. Our property management partner, Evolve, was kept informed throughout the process, and the home was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the following day to ensure it was fully restored and comfortable. According to the plumber’s assessment, the issue was likely caused by an item that should not have been flushed. The property has never experienced plumbing issues before, and our cleaners, who were on-site the day prior to check-in, did not observe any concerns at that time. We’re sorry that you were unable to complete your stay. To help make up for the situation, we issued a refund for the two nights you were unable to stay, and we hope this gesture provided some relief and helped ease the inconvenience you experienced.
