The view is amazing! House was well stocked and beautifully decorated. We had 4 couples with plenty of room. Will be coming back for sure!
Our multi-generational family had a wonderful time at Stags View. Easy access into the home(after the long steep driveway) and a nice open room living area with a comfortable kitchen. The deck off the back of the entry level was the place where we congregated for morning coffee, afternoon naps, and evening drinks. The covered deck allowed use even when the rains came or the sun was too hot! There were plenty of bathrooms for every one and the bedrooms were very comfortable for all. The location was close enough to town to make an every morning newspaper, coffee and doughnut run. The steep area meant you had to drive to be able to go for a walk. The house was very clean, well appointed, and in working order. The house managers were very responsive, although we didn't need much from them. Phone service was very spotty(be prepared to unplug) and those that needed to work found the internet temperamental. We didn't have many needs for the television but when we did use it, we were satisfied.
Negatives - A couple of the showers drained very slowly(maybe need some clearing). The driveway to the house is very steep but the parking at top is accommodating for 5 vehicles. Once you drive it a couple times it's not so bad. We had bears get into the garbage the first day and they came back a few times(a mama with 2 cubs). We had to be very aware when stepping out to the driveway.
My family really liked the house and would want to come back next summer.
Loved our stay at this well appointed house. The view was one of the best. The lower level den was perfect for the 4 teens who enjoyed the pool table and tv. Primary bedroom and spa like bath were awesome! Great kitchen with large bar for food prep and serving.
My family, 10 ppl spanning 3 generations stayed at Stag's View for 8 nights. The home is spacious and afforded privacy when needed. The star of the show, without question, is the stunning mountain view which is visible from the main living area and 3 King bedrooms. Also nice was that we were able to cook meals easily in the well stocked kitchen. The house would have been a 5-star with the addition of additional seating on the back deck- currently accommodating just 8 people and an inventory of the bedding. (Several beds didn't have blankets- just super heavy/warm comforters and one had no mattress cover.) Aside from that, everything was satisfactory. The home is in a very secluded area with a beautiful dirt road entrance and extremely close to lovely downtown Highlands.
Stags View was the perfect vacation home for our big family. The view is absolutely amazing. An abundant about of space for everyone to be comfortable. Lots of amenities including a Bluetooth record player with a great selection. Close to town and lots of waterfalls. We highly recommend booking your Highlands stay at Stags View!
From the owner: "Thank you Kati! It was our pleasure to have your family enjoy our slice of heaven."
