Everything was 5 star and we will back! Such a fun trip to Highlands which is in my favorite part of the country and this cottage provided everything we needed! A short ride into town and close by everything. Easy to get to and cozy!

There is much to like about this cottage, in particular the deck. However, anyone renting needs to understand how close the cottage is (less than 20 feet) to a very busy highway with challenging sight distances for pulling in and out of the somewhat limited parking area.
Hi Pamela, we're so glad you enjoyed this cozy cottage overall! We want our guests to know just what to expect upon arrival, which is why the listing photos include exterior shots showing the available parking and the proximity to the road. The homeowner also let us know that the road is not typically too busy, and they have never had an issue with parking or pulling out. They have worked hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests and look forward to hosting many more five-star experiences!
Accommodations were lovely and well-equipped. Very close to busy road but traffic settles in evening. Very small yard fence really needs to be repaired and grounds really desperately need to be maintained to give a safer place to be outside.

The property had electrical problems that caused is to be without power And water for a day and a half. We decided to cut our vacation short by a day b/c this was not tolerable. The owner did offer to move us to another property about 30 minutes away. I nice offer, but inconvenient to pack up on the last day and move, just to pack again the next day. And with this we still would have missed the nice dinner reservations we had made for our final evening because we could not shower. We were offered a refund for the night we left early, but it did not seem to take i to account all of the fees that are incurred from the rental company and they said there would be no negotiations. It was unfortunate to cut our vacation a day short. Hopefully the electrical issues get fixed, b/c otherwise was not a bad place. It is very close to the road and quite small. I would say 2 people is a good number for this property, but otherwise very near the highlands.
