My husband’s two sisters joined us in Highlands. One from Massachusetts and one from Atlanta. We had a wonderful time. The home gave us plenty of spaces to just sit and catch up! We loved it!

Our family had a wonderful time with the beautiful cabin in the beautiful snowy woods! Easy to access to main road so the snow was welcome-even in the last week of winter!
This house sits about 2 minutes from downtown Highlands, which means you've pretty much got a perfect location for anything you're looking to do in the area. The trip for us was just a quiet winter getaway with friends. The house is exactly what you see in the photos, comfy, homey, cozy, and perfect for 2-6 people. The kitchen is definitely one of the best stocked kitchens we've stayed in. Tons of plates, pots, pans, etc. I think the only thing we weren't able to find was some sort of baking sheet (of course we could have very well overlooked it - there are lots of cupboards). The bedrooms are all welcoming and comfy - the only change I would personally make is upgrading the bed to a king bed in the master bedroom since there seems to be plenty of room. The living/sitting areas are both occupied with plenty of comfortable places to sit and the the gas fireplace was huge plus for those of us too lazy to get those wood logs going everyday. Although the weather didn't allow for us to utilize the outdoor space - there is tons and seating and the water feature is a great extra feature to have. I can imagine the back porch is the place to be in the Summer and Fall - hopefully someday we will get to come back and try it out.

This property is top notch! The home is "designer decorated with high end fit and finishes. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with high quality appliances, dishes etc. It even has a few free weights and exercise mat for those wanting to keep their exercise routine (we really appreciated this). The back deck is a tranquil retreat with a beautiful waterfall. We enjoyed sitting there for morning coffee and then yoga. The owners were great communicators.
