Convenient for hiking
4/5 This was our second stay in the Chinquapin neighborhood. The proximity to trailheads and short drive to provisions make it a great place to stay.
The cabin was tidy and well appointed, and not so full with owners' items that it felt crowded. Being January, there were very few people around, so it was very quiet. The host team answered the phone when I needed the code to the Chinquapin gate. The primary bed is quite soft. The fireplace is unvented, so unless it's mild enough to make cracking a window reasonable, you may not want to use it.
If you're looking for a good basecamp, I would recommend this cabin.
