  Property is dated and a bit worn down but acceptable. Space was.good for 2 people and our dog, that we crate when away, any more and it will be tight accommodations. Shower stall is quite small and.some larger people or clostrophobics may find it too small to work but worked fine for us. Public beach access is right accross the street, the pier a couple blocks and grocery store a couple blocks more.

  If your just looking for a place to sleep and shower, your not going to find a better deal in Emerald Isle, in season.

  The good... The porperty is only a block from the beach. Short drive to multiple restaurants/stores. Allowed dogs. The bad.. Everything in the house was covered in sand when we arrived. The front door has mold on the weatherstriping. Multiple of the drop-ceiling tiles seemed like they were about to fall down along with looking wet or like they were previously wet. The listing made it seem as though there was a private walkway to the beach, there was not. All around a lot smaller than the pictures made it seem.

There was no sand, mold, or issues with ceiling tiles during our pre-arrival check, nor was any evidence presented to the contrary. We thoroughly inspect and photograph 1 Ocean Fun before each guest's arrival. We wish you had contacted us as we sent you 7 messages before and during your stay.
  -We are glad you enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the convenience of nearby restaurants and stores, as well as the ability to bring your dogs.
  -While there is no private walkway to the beach, 1 Ocean Fun is just 30 yards away from beach access, with two walkways clearly noted in the listing. We urge guests to thoroughly read the listing to ensure the property meets their expectations.

  What a aweet deal! Private parking with easy short walk (few minutes) to the beach. Everything you need to relax and enjoy the surf and get away from the day to day grind!Definately coming back!!!

  Furniture smelled and was broken, cooking dishes were not clean. Only had 2 towels and 2 wash clothes for two people for a week . Shower was very small. Oven door wouldn't stay closed while cooking. We left 3 days early and returned home from a week long vacation.

  Homeowner’s response: Hi James, the furniture is routinely cleaned, in good condition, with a pleasant scent. All dishes are cleaned and inspected between guests' stays. We provide ample towels in the bathroom closet, in addition to sets on the racks.
  - 1 Ocean Fun photographs accurately reflect the interior and its proximity to beach access, just 30 yards away.
  - Prior to your stay, new wood flooring was installed, along with fresh kitchen/bathroom linoleum.
  - The oven was serviced with new hardware prior to your arrival, and the oven door closes fine.
  - The shower dimensions are ample for one person, and meet all building codes.
  - Additionally, we provide a beach wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie, and skim boards, snorkel & mask, swim goggles, and sand castle play set for the children. We look forward to accommodating future vacationers at our stunning Emerald Isle Beach.
