Beautiful home. Clean. So much space. Nice welcome gift. Hot tub hit the spot. No AC but owners left plenty of fans and that made it perfect.

Had a great experience, beautiful place and location in the mountains providing a little quiet and tranquility with the family. Great layout and amenities. While overall we had a wonderful stay, just a couple of updates needed such as the blinds and windows in a few rooms were broken. Need to replace missing screens on ALL windows. With no A/C in the Summer this became a small inconvenience as it was fight the heat or the insects. Also patio furniture was missing cushions so limited ability to use which is one of the best features of the home, to be able to sit on the patio and enjoy the mountain air. Overall though, great place, was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and comfort. Might suggest management co. come by and freshen up the place before guest arrival. Thank you again for letting us stay, attended Highland Games and the location was convenient to everything around. I would call out what was a hidden gem, at least to me, and ensure guests take advantage of the Elk River Falls swimming hole. 10 min from house and great experience for the family.

Hi Kenneth, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- The window blinds in one of the bedrooms were recently damaged by another renter and are scheduled to be replaced
- All of the cushions for the patio furniture are stored in the bin on the deck, as well as in the main floor bedroom closet. We've updated the site to clarify this
- To manage the heat, we've provided box fans with written instructions in the house on how to place them in the windows to pull cool air inside. Our family used this method during the July 4th week and found it effective
- We’re glad to hear that you found the property clean and well-equipped for your stay
Thank you for your insight, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!
Spent some time away with friends to reset.

We stayed at the Lodge for a weekend in the mountains to go on some hikes and explore the area. The house itself is pretty dated and has overall seen better days. Carpets are stained, spiderwebs in rooms, bbq grill was so dirty it was unusable, blown out lightbulb in the master bedroom. When we arrived one of the balcony doors was open.
A new coffee maker and free toiletries do not cover up the fact that this house has seen better days and that the owner is not very involved. If you depart on a Sunday or Wednesday be prepared to take your trash home with you as the local dumps are closed, something the owner does not disclose ahead of time. We won't be back.
Hi Timo, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience, so we were disappointed to hear your feedback and want to take a moment to address your concerns.
- We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay.
- Regarding the lightbulb in the master bedroom. The room has multiple lighting options, including bedside table lamps and ceiling lights, but we understand how this oversight impacted your stay.
- We apologize for the condition of the BBQ grill. While it is regularly cleaned, I have asked our turnover service to double-check the grill for future guests to ensure it is ready for immediate use.
- The carpet does have a few subtle spots from normal wear and tear, but we assure you it is cleaned after every guest. We are located in the mountains, and despite thorough cleaning, it is possible for spiders to enter the house. There is no infestation, and we take steps to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
- We apologize for the inconvenience regarding trash disposal on Sundays and Wednesdays when local dumps are closed.
- We appreciate your feedback and will continue to make improvements to enhance our guests' experiences. Many guests enjoy the views, spaciousness, hot tub, fire pit, large kitchen, deck with mountain views, and the location, all offered at reasonable rates.
Thank you for staying with us, and we hope you have many more enjoyable trips in the future.
Great size kitchen and well stocked with utensils, plenty of beds and bathrooms, great view of mountains
