This is a 20 year old cabin that is in need of some updates, repairs and most importantly, a good cleaning. There were dead flies and bugs on the floor and in window sills. Also, killed several live bugs which was not popular with the children. In the bedroom that was marketed for kids, there was a bug sticky strip laying on the floor, fully exposed. Of course, the kids touched it. The only heat vent in the kitchen level bedroom was covered by a bed so the bed was cozy warm. Leaks in the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink made the first night busy with moping up water. The hot smelled of strong chlorine such that we were afraid to use it. Also, in your add, you need to make sure people are aware that they need to leave space when packing to take your garbage home with you. There was a sign inside making this request. First time I have ever had to do this. Could be bad if you have an enclosed vehicle. If you are looking for a rustic place to get away, this might be your place. Be prepared to do some cleaning when you get there.

"We always want guests to arrive at a comfortable, well-cared-for home, and we appreciate this feedback. After sharing your comments with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
• I addressed a plumbing issue promptly during the stay to minimize disruption.
• The cabin is cleaned and treated regularly, though insects can appear seasonally in mountain settings.
• The hot tub is professionally maintained with safe chlorine levels, and brief airing improves comfort.
• This is a rustic cabin designed to offer a traditional mountain experience rather than a modern home.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. Feedback like this helps set clear expectations and support future stays."
We came to NC for a marathon and this was the perfect home to recuperate in afterwards! We loved our stay and would definitely book again if we're ever back in this area.

Super cozy cabin. Quiet and well stocked. We have a great time celebrating our son graduating from App state there.

This cabin was a lovely place to stay. It was well taken care of and made a great place for our family get-together. The kitchen was well-equipped, even well enough for us to prepare a large meal. Thank you!

From the Owner: "We are so happy you enjoyed everything."
This was a great date weekend for me and the Mr. If you love get aways that are private and free from a world of technology this is it. It’s like camping but in a cabin because I don’t sleep outdoors. There were plenty of games to play, a fire pit, a private porch to watch deer walking through, and things to do within 10 minutes. Including, dining out and hiking. We did go to Olive Garden, Tweetsie Railroad, and a place were the floors gravity pulled you to one side because of some weird phenomenon. That place also had ax throwing. There were movies at the airbnb, but we took some we love just in case. We plan to do it again when our work schedules align.
