This is a great cabin, extremely clean and well stocked. We visited when the snow had just fallen and was over a foot high - in these conditions you definitely need 4 wheel drive to access the cabin which we knew in advance so not an issue. The owner was extremely attentive and answered all questions very quickly. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The furniture is very comfortable and cozy and tv and internet signal were much stronger than we expected out in the woods. It was too cold or sitting out on the deck or using the fire pit would have been awesome, next time! The location is great as well, about 20 min to both Cashiers and Highlands and about 1.5 hours to Asheville which we explored one day as well. There are many waterfalls very close to this home as well but too cold when we were there to explore those. If you are looking around and not sure if you want to book this cabin, don’t wait, pull the trigger and book it - you will be glad you did! We will be visiting again soon!
Hard to know where to start but when you’re expectations are not just met but exceeded You have to share a review. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing week in this lovely place. We traveled from busy So. Florida so the peace and quiet and cool mountain air was just want we needed. The cabin is equipped with everything including wine and ingredients for making s’mores. It’s a 30 minute drive to stores or the closest town which is what we wanted. There are beautiful waterfalls and nice hikes within an hour drive. Our time was lovely that mid week we decided to extend our stay. We will definitely be back!!
The cabin was not a bad drive to Cashiers or Highlands. It was clean and had all the amenities that you needed. It was tastefully decorated and quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Do yourself a favor! If you're trying to book a trip to the Highlands / Cashiers area and Taylor Creek is available for the dates you need...stop looking & book it NOW! I promise you'll be happy you did! Every single detail has been thought of and literally every single one is awesome! Cabin is remarkably clean, cool, & cute...plus it smells wonderful! Not to mention the hosts are truly second to none! My wife & I just went for our anniversary and to say that they went "above & beyond" to make our trip special would be a DRAMATIC understatement! I literally could go on & on and write a novel but just know this...you can't go wrong booking this cabin! I'd give it 10 Stars if I could!!!
Advertised as a Cashiers Cabin but was 25-30 minute drive from Cashiers and 35-40 minute drive to Highlands. Wife left disgusted after one week.

Hi Mike, thank you for your review. We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: Mike, thank you for your comment that our cabin was a “beautiful remote cabin.” It is an amazing rustic cabin surrounded by a lush forest of trees and breathtaking mountains nestled on Taylor Creek. So many of our guests love our cabin and have had wonderful experiences as they have expressed in their reviews. I am a bit confused as to your rating other than your wife being disgusted about the location not being closer to Cashiers or Highlands. Our cabin is advertised as a "Cashiers cabin" as a point of reference because it is the closest town to our cabin. Our listing on Evolve, VRBO, Airbnb, and Booking.com clearly states that the location of our cabin is “central to Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin, Sylva, Sapphire and Cullowhee.” It also states that the cabin is in an “amazing location 10 minutes from Lake Glenville, 25 minutes from Cashiers, 29 minutes from Franklin, 30 minutes from Sapphire Ski Resort, 34 minutes from Highlands, 35 minutes from Cullowhee and Western Carolina University, and 45 minutes
from Dillsboro.” In addition, I email all our guests days before their
arrival information about the property description including location,
amenities, pdf attachment maps and directions to and from each town and waterfalls in the area. I also send all our guests prior to arrival a
“Things to Do” email about outdoor activities, such as waterfalls, hiking,
horseback riding, fishing, boating, shopping, restaurants, etc. to help our
guests maximize their adventure in the mountains. Many of our guests love the tranquil remoteness of the centralized location of our cabin, but it
may not be the ideal place to stay if a guest is not familiar with the area
and was hoping for accommodations in the town of Cashiers or Highlands.
