This condo is perfect for runners and cyclists as we have a bicycle rack on the property. You can walk or cycle two miles to Fort Macon or walk to the pier 1.5 miles away!

Visit the quaint mountain village of Cashiers and explore numerous apparel boutiques, antique and home furnishing shops. Take a stroll through the Village Green, a 12-acre park with outdoor sculptures, walking paths, and beautiful gardens. Enjoy summer entertainment at the popular “Groovin’ on the Green” concerts each Friday. Dine at spectacular restaurants, such as The Orchard, Cornucopia, Randevu, Whiteside Brewing Co., the Ugly Dog, or Mica’s in neighboring Sapphire. Afterward, treat yourself to a dessert at Sugar Cloud or Cream & Flutter.

For the historian enthusiast, visit the Church of the Good Shepherd in Cashiers built in 1892 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Then go back to the time of the Cherokee and venture to see Judacull Rock, petroglyphs created by Cherokee Indians near Cullowhee.

For the adventurous excursion, saddle up horses in Cullowhee at ArrowMont Stables for horseback riding, test your endurance at the WCU Hiking and Mountain Biking Trailhead and Auger Hole Trail at Gorges State Park for mountain biking, or fly through the forest on the Highland Aerial Park zip line courses at Scaly Mountain, NC near Highlands.

For a romantic evening and special occasions, venture to Highlands and experience a magical evening stroll on Main Street after fine dining at Ristorante Paoletti, Wolfgang’s Restaurant & Wine Bistro or Madison’s, just to name a few.

See panoramic mountain views from Wayah Bald Lookout Tower or mine for gems in Franklin, known as the “Gem Capital of the World.”

Photograph the historic Jackson County Courthouse, fly fish the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail, or enjoy the summer sounds of live music outdoors in downtown Sylva at “Concerts on the Creek” music festival.

Take a scenic drive or hike to nearby waterfalls including Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Bust Your Butt Falls, Glen Falls, and Secret Falls. More waterfalls can be found in Cashiers including Sliding Rock (popular natural waterslide during the summer), Silver Run Falls, and Whitewater Falls (higher than Niagara Falls - highest waterfall in the eastern U.S.). Be sure to take a hike to High Falls at Lake Glenville. Most of these waterfalls are within a 30-minute drive from the cabin.

  • Very Special Retreat

    5/5

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by enjoying a very special experience at The Nest. We really appreciate Billy and Bonnie sharing their 'luxury cabin'. If you're considering a comfortable get away near Cashiers, please take a look at this property. You won't be dissappointed.

  • Perfect place to get away.

    5/5

Nested on Taylor Creek was so nice. We were welcomed with wine and a s’more basket of goodies. We were there for an anniversary trip and it was so nice to sit and rock on the front porch and let the worries slip away. They think of the extras to make the stay there special. Give it try you’ll not regret it.

  • Perfect cozy retreat

    5/5

We needed a break from the coastal heat and booked a last minute getaway. Upon arrival we felt immediately relaxed and cooled off. The property is immaculate, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable and only regret we couldn’t stay longer. Communication was great and all info on care of the property was detailed and simple to follow. Highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway.
