  The location of the property was the 1 thing that was excellent about our stay. My wife and I and our 2 sons and families all traveled 10-12 hours to get to Corolla. It’s always hard to arrive exactly at 4:00 PM due to traffic and you want to be able to access the property as soon as possible to start enjoying vacation. We arrived at the property about 45 minutes early and noticed no crew was there. I immediately contacted the Property Manager to see if we could access the house early. I was told definitely “No” and that the crew was still there. We sat in our vehicle until 4:00, nobody came or left the house and nobody was inside as we were told. I have rented numerous beachfront properties and have always been given early access if the cleaning crew was done. I felt the Property Manager could have been more accommodating.

  Once inside the home we noticed that it wasn’t as clean as I had expected with the living room/ kitchen area needing better sweeping/ vacuuming. We also found several dirty dishes in the cupboard and silverware drawer which we had to re-wash prior to use. The screen door on the master suite was torn so you really could not have the primary door open and listen to the ocean.

  - Early access to the property was unfortunately not possible due to an unexpected repair needed after the previous guests’ stay. We understand the importance of starting your vacation promptly and regret any inconvenience this caused.
  - We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered. The cleaning team has been informed to ensure a more thorough job in the future, including better attention to dishes and the living areas.
  - The screen door in the master suite did have a small tear near the handle, but it has since been repaired to ensure that guests can fully enjoy the sound of the ocean.

  Great view of the ocean.

  Had to wash the bed before our granddaughter could sleep in the bed. Bed had lots of sea dirt.

  Door upstairs is hard to close and open and when the wind is blowing the blinds will catch against the door.

• Three Years in a Row!

  Another year at Cloud Lift and it gets better each time. We were pleasantly surprised to see the kitchen updated and exterior paint refreshed - great update. This year we ventured to the Beer Garden (around the way from the Juice Jar), and what a treat. We even took a ride down to Nags Head to eat at Fish Heads, a popular eatery on the pier and it did not dissappint. Tina, the property manager, is always a joy to work with, and makes our stay that much more comforting. If the owner of the property ever wants to sell, Ill be first in line to take over ;)

• Relaxing Week

  Our stay was amazing. The house was perfect for our group of 14, everything was clean and in working order. The outdoor amenities were also fantastic.

  As far as location goes, I’m not sure it could have been better. Far enough away from the more touristy areas, but still had plenty of fun things for the kids to do. All the restaurants in the area were great.

  We had no complaints about our stay.
