Left high and dry
1/5 Arrived at 4:15 pm to find a sign on door from water utility company stating "Your water has been turned off due to non payment." We did enter the property and confirmed that the water was, in deed, turned off. We contacted agent who had a difficult time contacting the owner. We then went to a friends house in the area. After several hours we were told water was back on. We returned to the property at 8 pm to find water still off. At this time we contacted an Evolve agent and cancelled the stay. The Evolve agent was very efficient and helpful. The same was true of the property cleaner who apparently was the owners representative. As for the owner, we have nothing positive to say. Person does not pay the bills; left us with no place to stay; had to find an extended stay hotel. VRBO also not helpful in this regard.

Owner's response: Pamela, We are very sorry about this occurrence we were under the impression that we were set up with auto-pay with the town of Cary water department. It appears that there was an issue and it was not working correctly.
We contacted the town of Cary and paid all outstanding bills immediately and they informed us the water would be restored that night by 7 pm. However, it was not restored until the next morning and you had already canceled your reservation.
This was one of those things that happens and we made the best effort to get everything fixed for you but it took longer than expected. Again, we are very sorry.
We are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
