Our family of three (8 yr old and two adults) stayed here the week of hurricane Debby. We didn’t deal with any power outages or water issues from the hurricane. The large hotel between the beach and the cottage served as a protective barrier we were very grateful for. The host was easy to communicate with and very kind. The property was well managed and clean. Kitchen has sufficient cooking and serving/eating ware but lacks cutting boards, cooking oils and spices (v reasonable with beach weather) so be sure to bring your own. The location to the beach access is great and walking a mile in either direction you’ll find great restaurants (Freddies), food stores (The Veggie Wagon) and ice cream (although Celtic Creamery is worth the drive). There is a nice greenway, opposite the beach, that was great on super windy days. This is not a posh property- it’s everything we needed and expected at a price we could afford. So thankful to find that! All in all- we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!

This cottage is adorable. The front room is sunny and inviting. There was ample space for us with our teens to spread out. Even tho you are on the main street, once inside it doesn't feel like you are in the middle of it all. It is a 2 min. walk from the beach. We also had a few property questions and our contact was very responsive. We would love to stay here again!

This property was just what our family needed. My 13yo and 8yo shared the room with two beds, they both said their beds were very comfy. The extra room we saved for Grandpa to stay with us, he resides locally. He chose to stay only one night as he missed his own bed. The master bed was spacious, bed was creaky when you move. The kitchen and laundry room were so convenient. Only wish the dinner table was a bit more functional. We ate outside in the adorable outdoor patio. Grandpa lent us his tiki torches to keep bugs at bay. I do wish there were bikes on the property to go in to town or where the action is or many restaurants as parking is a challenge and costly. You can walk to a few places for food and ice cream, but can get a bit sweltering. The beach is a hopscotch away and just perfect. There is a big hotel on the beach just in front of the house, but you can still see the beach over the pool. The road the house sits on can get really busy, so watch your kids when walking to and from the beach. We would book again! Price is a great deal.
