The place was awesome. The house is old but has everything you would need for a great vacation. We traveled as a family with 4 kids. The house stands on 5 acres of private land, with pine woods at the beginning of the entrance, a bamboo forest behind the house with the mountain view from the bathtub, there is a neighbor's house higher on the mountain to the right but you can barely see it. The kids were busy playing with basketball loop, pickleball, arcade/table games, puzzles, and huge DVD collection. We also hiked on the territory of the house, there were a couple of trails marked with arrows. Turkeys, squirrels, and cardinals were spotted in the area. In the evenings it was fun to gather around the fire pit and burn some marshmallows (the logs were provided). We rafted on the Tuskagee River, hiked in Graveyard Fields (Blue Ridge Pkwy), Chestnut Mountain Park, Shining Rock Wilderness Park, and swam at Sunburst Hole. The weather was perfect and we appreciated the mountain's cool air.

We loved this property and all it had to offer. From the moment we drove in we felt perfectly at home and loved the natural surroundings. It may even be one of my favorite family stays we’ve had in NC. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice cabin in the woods. The place was very well stocked with towels, paper products and some food. There were a lot of fun games to do when we were you there.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was well maintained. We enjoyed the privacy and the walking trails. The hot tub was perfect. This was the perfect getaway!
