House was beautiful.

Property was as advertised. The drive to get to the house from the highway is nicely paved and maintained, no gravel 1 lane roads that usually makes someone unaccustomed to mountain living uneasy. The drive from the highway to the house ,albeit nice is long and windy, takes about 15 minutes to get there from the highway. Only complaint i would have is that the bug control could be better. Killedd about 5 large spiders in the house and unfortunately the fireput outside was unuable as there were 3 wasps nests under the seats. My kid found this out for us the hard way by getting stung twice on his ankle maling us skip an enotee day of hiking due to the swelling. Wish the house had wasp spray in the garage or something. Ither than thay the house was perfect for oyr stay, pretty scenery and neighborhood for walks.

The house is on a mountain with a beautiful view and is private. Bring bug spray or something to keep the mosquitos away to sit on the porch at night. It takes about 15-20 min from the beginning of the neighborhood to get to the house. It’s a long winding road. Be careful of the wasps outside they were bad! My daughter got stung twice. The beds were not very comfortable and they need new pillows ours were flat. There was garbage left in the garage that stunk but was picked up the next few days. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was stocked with all our needs.

Hi Jennifer, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-We are working to update our listing to clearly reflect the 15-minute winding mountain drive.
-We recently replaced the beds. While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences.
-Being a mountain home, occasional insects like mosquitos and wasps can be expected despite regular spraying. There is a screened-in porch available for a more bug-free experience.
-We apologize for the garbage issue. This was an oversight by a temporary cleaner, and the situation was promptly addressed upon the return of our regular cleaning staff.
We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful view, privacy, spaciousness, and well-stocked kitchen. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!
This was perfect for our family. Nicely furnished and very spacious. We liked the privacy of the area. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at this house. We enjoyed it so much the first time we wanted to experience the area again in another season. While Christmas time was great because of all of the seasonal activities (polar express etc) we really enjoyed utilizing the lake swimming docks this time around. The house is nicely stocked with necessities for cooking and we enjoyed making a lot of our own meals while there. The ride up the mountain is pretty long and curvy but doesn’t bother us. I personally love how secluded the house is and being surrounded by nature.
