We had a great stay at this lovely home. It is situated on a hill and as you walk downward there is a very picturesque scene of mountains in the distance above a beautiful small pond and field with stables. Our kids were absolutely enthralled with the two friendly, beautiful horses on the property. They were equally excited about feeding bread to the many super-friendly fish in the fish pond. The horses and fish were some of the main highlights of their trip -- they're still talking about them! They also appreciated the chocolate left for us in the house when we arrived. The house was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you love animals or have kids who love animals. We've stayed at a lot of VRBO cabins and this one was so unique and special because of the setting and the rare opportunity to experience the owners' wonderful animals. I thought perhaps we'd be seeing a lot of the owner(s) who live on site, but we never saw them during our trip. I'm sure they would have been available if needed, though. The property felt very private.

  • Perfect For Our Family of 6

The house was perfect for our family of 6. Location couldn’t be better—just minutes from downtown Bryson City and 20 minutes from Cherokee. We also took a day trip to Biltmore, only 1h15 away. The house was very well-stocked, and the view was wonderful. My kids loved visiting the horses as well.

Quiet retreat at the end of a single lane bumpy gravel road. Home is great but mountain view is obstructed. Overall a pleasant place to relax.

We enjoyed our week long stay at this property. The house is furnished with everything you need. Really liked that they had cooking oil and spices in the kitchen! As well as garage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap and even shampoo and conditioner!! A very nice touch! Nice big property to roam around and my grandkids loved the horses and fish pond. One thing I would say though is they should replace or remove the swing chair by the pond. We wanted to sit there but it is rusted and did not look safe. It is really nice to see someone put in all the extra effort to make this a great place to stay and not just an income property! I have stayed at a lots of different places and this one goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again.
