We have been staying at Ela Shores for several years now. It’s a great location and always clean. Recommend it if you want a clean, quiet place to stay.
Lovely cabin . Super clean all amenities provided . Grounds well kept .
Please note there is a 3 foot deep or more hole near the fire pit that needs covred . I stepped waist deep in
Clean, tastefully decorated, and very peaceful. A bonus is the polar express train riding through the back yard across the river! So magical

This cabin was clean and functional with a great view of the river from the mostly uncovered back deck which includes a hot tub to relax as you view it. When I say functional, the cabin had only one window over the kitchen sink to view the river. Since you need to be on the mostly uncovered back deck to enjoy it, the cabin does not take advantage of its proximity to the river. Next to our cabin was a gathering space, covered picnic area with grills. This was for the other cabins which were not river front. Fortunately for us there weren't many people there to use it. If there had been, they may have been smoking or loud and that would have ruined the experience. On the other side of our cabin there used to be a campground, but it had been so damaged by the flooding in 2024 that only an empty campground with only remnants. There was a colony of feral cats on the property and these cats were being fed on the property. They would let you no where near them, unless you were bringing food, but they were easily spooked. There was a gaggle of Canadian geese who called the picnic area next to our cabin home. They are beautiful, but beware of goose poop everywhere. There was no access down to the river to either wade or fish unless you wanted to wade through vegetation and an uneven embankment to get to it. The cabin is conveniently located to Bryson City or Cherokee, but is away from the more crowded city areas.
