We had a great time having our whole family (kids, parents, grandparents) in one cabin for the weekend for our visit to the Polar Express. An absolute favorite was the outdoor area with the almost full wrap around porch, hot tub, and fire pit. We all had plenty of space to spread out to either enjoy playing (kids) or having a few quiet, relaxing moment (adults). The house was well stocked, and it was great for those of us who arrived late to have the outdoor lights on since the driveway is steep. The only word of caution I would give to anyone staying with small kids - do not let them wander out front by themselves as the front yard does drop off. Other than that - the cabin is a perfect place to relax for the weekend without needing to go anywhere else. I'd highly recommend staying here!

We had a great trip with our 3 children and four grandchildren. The house was very comfortable for all of us and everyone enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. It was easy for us to get to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express.
The home owner is very friendly and accommodating.
Absolutely one of our favorite homes we've ever stayed in It was perfect for our kids and grandkids and we loved having the hot tub and fire pit on the back deck with fences to contain the children The screened in porch was a favorite and the home was so cozy and clean Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone The driveway is very steep but we had no issues

We enjoyed our stay especially the fire pit and hot tub area. There was a lot of room to spread out. There was plenty of sitting room for the whole family and room to eat together inside. My only complaint was that the screen porch could use a hosing off to freshen it up and remove debris from boring bees.

From the owner: “I’m really glad you enjoyed the space, especially the fire pit, hot tub area, and room for everyone to gather. I appreciate your note about the screened porch. I’ve since replaced the old outdoor carpeting to give it a fresh, clean feel. Thank you for staying and for sharing your feedback.”
We had an incredible weeklong stay. Photos don't do this property justice-we spent most of our time (when we were there) on the screened in porches and ate our meals outside. It's super quiet and very peaceful, except for the boring bees that are plentiful outside, but are only trying to get to their holes. We even saw an Elk walking behind the property one day!The final part of the driveway is a little spooky if you don't have 4WD, but it's definitely doable. The owner was fantastic and made sure our visit was exceptional! The kitchen is well stocked. They are very generous with paper towels, dish/clothes soap, and towels, but make sure you bring your own bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. Lots of room in the house to spread out when we each wanted a bit of alone time.We definitely recommend staying here and would gladly book again!
