  • Quiet, Serene Cabin

    5/5

My husband and I enjoyed our time at this cabin. It is very private and quiet, perfect for a couples getaway. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The narrow steep road to the cabin was the only unexpected. A car that sits low to the ground might have a difficult time navigating the long driveway. Thankfully we were on a SUV. Definitely worth the drive.

  • Enjoyable Stay

    4/5

We enjoyed a two night stay at this property. It is close to town, but it's so quiet you don't know it. The view is amazing! If we had to complain about something, it would be that the screened porch area needed to be cleaned. It wasn't a deal breaker for us as we didn't mind staying inside. Overall, we are satisfied with our decision to choose this property for our stay.

  • AWFUL EXPERIENCE & BOB IS A LIAR

    1/5

My 6 month pregnant wife and I showed up after 4 hours of driving and I could not get in. It was 12 degrees out. I called the property owner “Beau” and he did not answer. I called again and he sent my call to VM immediately. Few minutes later, Bob the “maintenance guy” shows up and he says the cabin’s water line broke due to the cold temps and that we couldn’t stay there (understandable). Bob pretty much said we were out of luck. He offered no resolution or restitution. WHAT SET ME OFF is that Bob then lied to me that he tried to call me 3 hours ago to warn me, which he didn’t! I pressed him on this lie and he contracted himself stating that he had no access to any guest/booking information and that Beau (his boss) was “an 80 year old cancer patient who couldn’t be bothered with the property anymore.” Who says something like that?!?I met with Beau and he offered a different and inferior cabin, a refund and a free stay later in the year. The backup cabin was a total dump, had no view and Bob was such a little dirty, weasel that we left to get a hotel in town.Take your money elsewhere, this place just isn’t worth it.

    Manager's Response:

Hi John H, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you encountered and hope that the measures taken by both ourselves and Evolve made up for the inconvenience caused by the extreme weather conditions.
    - We were unaware that the pipes had frozen until shortly before your scheduled check-in time. We attempted to make things right and offered you another of our cabins, to which you politely declined and chose to stay at a hotel. Although this was a situation caused by the inclement weather conditions, and completely out of our control, we again apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future and provide you with the 5-star experience you deserve.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
