Just what we were looking for

We were looking for a place to relax and unplug and we found that and more here! The property is in a wonderful location with beautiful scenery. The leaves were changing and I wanted to stare at them all day. Every bedroom had views of nature and we even saw a black bear! The fire pit was perfect for s'mores and the covered deck was so relaxing when having a cup of coffee in the morning. The beds were comfy and the cabin was clean and decorated so beautifully. This was exactly what we were looking for and can't wait to come back!

Great house and location but can't give it 5 stars for a several reasons. The location is fantastic; walking distance to a great hiking trail and wildlife; quick drive to restaurants and town. The house itself is beautiful inside and out but it wasn't properly cleaned. Master bathroom floor as well as the back of the toilet seat were covered in hair from the previous vacationers; shower curtain liner covered in mold; several kitchen utensils and pans we grabbed to cook meals were not clean (crusted with food); coffee pot had coffee in it from previous vacationers; dirty towel left on back porch. Overall, things that can be easily remedied with more attention to the property, but inexcusable for a rental property.

Hi Scott, The owners take the experience of their guests seriously and want to share this with you: "We truly are sorry for the issues you mentioned, and we have taken steps to insure those things don't happen again! We take pride in our home and also stay there 4-6 weeks a year, and we agree that those items being missed during cleaning is not acceptable."
Our stay was perfect. The weather was cool enough for fires in the evenings by the outdoor fire pit. We enjoyed all the cabin had to offer. Being foodies we were super impressed with how well the kitchen is stocked and the fantastic outdoor grill setup. We were lucky enough to see deer everyday and even a bear on the side yard. You can tell a lot of care and attention to detail has gone into this cabin. We truly relaxed and were able to enjoy nature and all the fun activities available locally! Definitely want to return in the future.
