PROS - The house is nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. Great AC. Wonderful back porch where we ate all our meals
CONS- Upon arriving we had a difficult time getting in the house. The handle on the lock box was broken was very hard to open.
The beds are bad, king size was hard and the queen was one of those where you end up in the middle. There was no coffee maker so we contacted the person listed as the contact. His response was, there is a Keurig. He said he would let the owner know. I told him the listing said, "coffee maker". The owner said, we will change the listing. There was no attempt to solve our problem. On the last day we found the Keurig adapter where we could use our coffee. Over all very poor communication with host and owner.
Hi Steve, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take your feedback seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your comments, and they wanted to share the following:
- We have updated the listing to accurately reflect that there is a Keurig machine. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience regarding the coffee machine
- The king mattress is extra firm to accommodate guests with back issues, but we will evaluate the mattresses' condition and consider options to better meet diverse comfort preferences
- We were unaware of the lock box issue and have forwarded this concern to our ground crew lead. It will be repaired or replaced to ensure ease of access for future guests
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide a truly 5-star experience!
Had a great stay. Grill looked very new. Ran out of hot water for showers at one point but it came back in a few minutes. The refrigerator door hinges need to be flipped… very annoying to squeeze into the corner every time you needed to open it. Beds were comfortable and big closet in the master was great for storage. Kitchen was stocked with everything we could think of.
Beautiful location! The house was cozy and conveniently located to Beech Mountain. We had a wonderful time walking the area and skiing at Beech Mountain.
One issue - I have dust allergies and after a few days I developed a sinus infection; the home needs a thorough cleaning under beds, furniture and even the walls & lamps need to be wiped down.
Other than the dust this is a great mountain getaway! We loved it.
Renting this property was easy I had no problems getting to my destination and everything was perfect the house was nice everything was nice my family and I really enjoyed our Thanksgiving there. I would definitely recommend this property.

Enjoyed this beautiful property it was a perfect fit for our needs, 2 couples and a 1 year old seeing snow for the first time. Unfortunately we were unable to leave due to safety concerns with snow/ icy conditions prior to our check out time. The property manager showed a lack of empathy for our situation and simply let us know that we needed to be out as soon as possible. Ideally we would have been on our way long before stated checkout time. I contacted the town of beech mountain asking them to plow the road that this property is on. Thankfully their quick response to the matter allowed us to safely get up the mountain and get to the main road safely! Again.. great property! Besides being the wrong tiger fans.. go Clemson.
