Our family of 4 stayed here when we discovered, last minute that Booking. com double booked the oceanfront condo we rented. This house is a mid century beauty and the property surrounding it is incredible! It was the most relaxing and serene location with a lovely dock and natural surroundings. The only drawbacks were ones that are common in a southern waterfront location. There were roaches. Mostly in the kitchen and mostly pretty small. And there was a strong sulfur smell to the water inside the house. The owners were charming, the beds and furniture were very comfortable. We truly loved the vibe of the house and the original tile, brickwork, amazing windows all with great views. It's a very special property even with the two drawbacks.
This home is an excellent home base in a quiet neighborhood and a great place to relax after a day of exploring the area! We couldn't ask for nicer weather to enjoy the town of Beaufort, Fort Macon State Park, the aquarium, and Cape Lookout National seashore. We were fortunate to see the wild horses on Rachel Carson Reserve. Easy check in and check out and the Manager was great and is local.
Had an awesome time. Great area to enjoy everything. Great fishing.

Beautiful home with a wonderful view of the water. We absolutely enjoyed our stay & we hope to be able to stay there again. The only negative comment that we can give is the sulphur smell of the water. For bathing & dishes it presented no problems. Since, however, we had read about the water's sulphur smell in a previous renter's comments, we took bottled drinking water with us.Again, it is a beautiful, clean, well-maintained care of home with a gorgeous view.
