A relaxing retreat north of Asheville, filled with all the amenities and conveniences one may want during a vacation. I was there for R&R with a pet and found I never went to downtown Asheville as the natural beauty of the area and the close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and local hiking trails called to me. I stayed a week and was grateful for the quiet guest house and the respectful and gracious hosts.
Just an aside: As the hosts note, realize that this is the rural mountains and your cellular phone may not have service. Check with your carrier if this is important….the host cannot “control” this aspect. The Wi-Fi was spectacular and fit my personal and professional needs. Also reiterating that the hosts expect crating of your pet while you are away. Again, this was prudent and not an issue for me. Also bring a flashlight and be cautious outdoors at night. This is bear country and they prowl the neighborhood trash cans at night. All being said, to me, the pros of this modern abode outweighed any concerns.

We really enjoyed staying in the retreat in the hills of north Asheville. It was a very different experience than staying in a condo or hotel room. It was lovely to hear the rain on the roof and to see the bear crossing in the neighborhood. The two bedrooms are separate but open at the top, so not total privacy if that is something you want. The beds were a little firm for our taste but we worked it out. The owners are very kind.

Our stay was perfect. Better than we expected. The apartment is spacious, very clean , well equipped and modern. The location is very convenient to downtown Ashville and to the Blue Ridge Parkway for time in the beautiful mountains. The owners Peggy and Bob live at the property and are very nice to deal with and are extremely helpful. It’s a very good place to stay and relax.
My wife and I had a great stay at Bob’s artist loft. It was the perfect mix of peace and quiet and great convenience to downtown and the parkway, all the amenities you could need. Extra special, ask Bob about his glass shop and antique convertible.

Very unique property and very cozy. One of the walls is (pretty much) one big window which is really nice. Property owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We brough our 3 year old and 9 month old. Close to downtown/breweries/hiking. It would be a little crowded with more than 2 adults w/ kids, but 2 adults & 2 small kids or 3-4 adults w/ no kids would be fine. It was perfect. 10/10 would stay again!
