  • Short underwhelming stay

    3/5

We were very underwhelmed with this property, it had the barest of amenities, was not quiet as it abuts the hosts house, have no private outside areas (it is shared with the homeowner) and lacked several basics such as ice trays, silverware and dishes. Only two bath towels were provided, no kitchen or hand towels. We did learn there were some dishes in the unloaded dishwasher.

The biggest complaint is how the listing lists pool access. You do have access, and it is a beautiful private community pool, but it took us several texts and calls, including to the management company, to receive access. Communication with the owners is average, at best.

Honestly, it is a good value for its price, but be prepared to supply your own amenities and be proactive and ask days in advance for pool access.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Tom, we’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your comments, and they wanted to share the following:

    - Additional towels and kitchenware are always available. The towels were stored in the room cabinet, and kitchen items were located in the kitchen cabinets. We're sorry the pool key wasn't in its usual spot on the living room wall, but we ensured it was returned to you as quickly as possible. We always encourage guests to contact their local guest contact during their stay so that any concerns can be quickly addressed for a more comfortable experience.
    - The home does share an outdoor area with the main house, but the homeowner typically avoids using the space when guests are present to allow for privacy. Our listing reflects that the homeowner may be present during your stay and we ask that guests thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.

Thank you for your feedback, which helps us continue to improve.

  • Inaccurate listing information

    4/5

Neighborhood is beautiful. Apartment was clean. But the listing was very inaccurate.

    1. Says it sleeps 4, but only sleeps 3 (futon is too small for two people).

    2. Says there is pool access, but there was no information on how to use it. I sent two separate messages asking for it with no response.

    3. Communication was terrible. Received no response after sending two messages.

  • With small children

    4/5

I did not realize the rooms were shotgun style & 2/3 of length shared interior wall to private residence. Since my grands are ages 2 & 2 1/2 we there I would have selected a detached arrangement to control our noise.

  • Loved the sun room!

    4/5

This appears to be a “mother in law” space within a family home. It has a separate external door next to the front door of the home. But there is a locked door to the family living space, and the sun room is a shared space. There are no laundry facilities. There was coffee and filters (appreciated) and food left in the freezer and refrigerator. We parked in the driveway, but were asked to move the car so one of their cars could come out of the garage. So we parked after this at the end of the driveway. I was expecting more of the traditional amenities that come in staying in a condo. There was a microwave but no stove. For two of us staying there were 2 brown bath towels and one hand towel and one kitchen towel.I asked to have some wash cloths and 2 more bath towels and kitchen linens and was told that usually guest bring their own linens. (I have traveled a lot and never bring my own linens). There was an over amount of fragrance packages. Meaning 4 in the bathroom, one in the living room, two in the bedroom and so many in the clothes closet. All unnecessary and caused headaches. There were no facial tissues, kitchen linens, the clock needed new batteries and the coffee maker was broken. I asked for these things and was shown the roll of kitchen paper towels on the counter. A new coffee maker and clock were brought to the unit with 2 blue towels. I was told that because of COVID towels are limited. I suggest that white linens be used which can be bleached to kill any viral risk. Also I’d remove the bathroom rugs and lid cover which were also blue are unnecessary and carry bacteria and viruses. We stayed 5 nights and missed having comfortable sofa and chair to lounge in as the furniture was rather stiff. The host was friendly and accommodating when I asked for the things above. The family noise was minimal.
