  • Fantastic place!

My best friend and I wanted to do something different from the typical spring break getaway to the beach with our kids. Our initial plans had fallen through and we had less than a few weeks to come up with a new plan. I went straight to VRBO where I knew I would find something fabulous but affordable. This property in Andrews, NC popped up and I couldn't believe my eyes! It was an absolute dream. Three levels of very comfortable and lovely furnishings, charmingly decorated and surrounded by the most gorgeous scenery. It was very close to tons of activities for all ages; ziplining, white water rafting, breweries, wineries, hiking in every direction you could drive. However, we would have been totally content just staying in, relaxing, and enjoying the comforts and amenities of this home and those of the town of Andrews. The only very slight issue was the uphill drive on a gravel driveway that can be tricky to get up if it's been raining however the owners will be paving it soon so that issue will be resolved. If you have a heavier vehicle than a sedan its really a non-issue. Highly recommend this property for large families or multiple families traveling together and wanting a mountain adventure vacation!

  • A part of the family.

We came to the cabin for my wife's birthday. It was amazing to say the least. Theres a creek next to the property that is small enough my two year old daughter could even play in it with no worries. The little things we found in the cabin make you feel right at home and like your a part of their family almost. For instance the kids growth chart in the pantry closet. The restaurants nearby were fantastic we ate at a different one everytime. Theres also a cool record shop in town you have to check out. After we left the owners even called to let us know that we left some items and they are mailing them to us. The customer service is top notch. We will definitely be back.

  • Beautiful, quiet, relaxing. Next time we'll stay longer!

Getting to the property was true to disclosure. I drive a front wheel drive Ford Explorer and had to back it up the driveway just as the listing said. No big deal though. It was quite exciting. The log cabin had lots of windows which we kept open the entire time. Lighting was perfect. The kids seeped comfy in their beds. The master bed mattress could stand to be replaced. Comfy couch and tv area. Kids enjoyed the basement. The trails behind the house provided a fun hike. I'd love to stay at this house again on future trips.
