West Yellowstone
2/5 Advertised air conditioning. Had a portable unit in living room that was not sufficient to keep all rooms cool. Tub was glued in back so visually not appealing. Was clean. Had to remove all comforters per instructions on beds… that was odd. This is the first VRBO that I left early because I was so disappointed.
Manager's Response:
We're sorry to hear the home didn't meet your expectations. Due to the cool mountain climate, overnight temperatures are typically comfortable, and the home is equipped with a portable A/C unit and fans for added comfort during warmer periods. The tub has a cosmetic repair from previous damage, but it remains fully functional. We also use decorative comforters that are removed before use to help keep them in excellent condition, while freshly laundered bedding is provided underneath for each guest. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue providing a comfortable experience for future travelers.
Great stay!
5/5 Rode in on Harleys Saturday afternoon. Place was very clean, a little older but we didn't care about that. We were just using it for a place to sleep and eat breakfast and dinner. Was riding the rest of the time. Cynthia brought us some towels to wipe the bikes down with. Kitchen facilities were adequate. Shared BBQ between three places. All in all it was a great stay. Generally quiet though you could hear some road noise from time to time. Cynthia was awesome. Asked about a Walmart, she said yes just turn right at the second light. Then said it's 90 miles between the lights, hilarious! Definitely world stay here again.
Excellent base to explore Yellowstone
5/5 The Elk Home proved to be the perfect choice for our 4 day stay in West Yellowstone and our trips to the park. Simple, but with lots of care for all relevant details, it was very spacious and clean. Modern appliances, a washing machine and WiFi made it very easy to feel at home - we really enjoyed the change from the hotel rooms we stayed at in other places. Cynthia (the manager) took very efficiently care of all details - thanks a lot for everything. We would not hesitate to come back.

4/5 The properties location to the park is its greatest asset. Minutes to the gate makes it very convenient to stay at.
