A terrible experience. They notify you right before checkin by text message how to get in the cabin. The problem with that is there is no cell reception for 18 miles from the cabin. We made 2 round trips to town to call, which is a total of 72 miles , before we had contact with the host. She said" You are no the first person" that had that problem..... The 1st person should have been the last person that had that problem. The host just didnot care enought to fix the problem. There is also no acess to the river, as the cabin is more than 100 feet above on a steep cliff." The river trail" leads to a private home with signs stating KEEP OUT NO TRESPASSING!!!!! Very Disapointting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus the cabin smelled like dirty socks.

The cabin was perfect for our 6 adult family! Very tidy and clean, plenty of supplies, and a well stocked kitchen. There were even spices in the cupboard and condiments in the refrigerator! The only ask would be more chairs to put at the table to play cards. It truly was like a home away from home! And the Host? AMAZING!! She was so helpful and kind, with lots of suggestions for things to do! Nobody wanted to leave and we’re already making plans for a return trip!
My only complaint is with Evolve. The link to the check in document did not work and they did not respond until after we were already at the property. Thankfully the Host had given me her cell number and she was able to help us out. All in all, an amazing trip!!!
We had such a great time staying in the Yaak River Hideaway. The cabin was clean and tidy when we arrived and we found it well stocked with everything we needed. The cabin grounds were beautiful, secluded, and provided many adventures for my children. It was one of our most memorable trips to date and we look forward to visiting again.
Beyond a doubt, one of the best places we have ever stayed. Tami, is beyond words in her guest relations. Best view and sound of spring whitewater from the BLESSED e Yaak River below us. Best bed, EVER, best shower in Montana, we quickly realized whatever pictures we took would do it NO justice, The same could be said about words to try and describe the Yaak Hideaway, we were so blessed to find this gem!

I cannot describe how wonderful it was staying at the Yaak Hideaway for my son's spring break as it was exactly what we needed! The communication with Tami was beyond expectation and everything from the check-in process to all of the recommendations on where to explore made things so easy for us. The cabin was cute, warm, and really had everything we needed. Everything from the bedding, stocked kitchen, and toiletries was all provided. The cabin had plenty to do as there were countless board games, fishing rods, and the best part.... the beautiful Yaak River. I really wished VRBO would allow us to post pictures as the different views of the river were breath taking! We experienced sunny days, rainy days, and some snow all in the same week! We enjoyed it all! I especially loved hearing the rain on the metal roof.... it was so soothing! There was also TV/WIFI available in which I was thankful as my alma mater SDSU made it to the finals for March Madness and I was able to watch the game in the cabin. The wildlife is abundant in the area and we loved leaving some peanuts on the deck rail as the flying squirrels made an appearance and I just loved seeing them! Tami really made us feel like family and I can't thank her enough for her generosity. We will be back!
