5/5 Really rough but livable and safe
4/5 I was thinking you could say something like: the house was very neglected, but served our purposes. If you don't mind doors that don't latch and sticks being used as the lock mechanism. No curtains on some windows. And a yard with a lot of old family debris in it. However, the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The neighbors were friendly. There were dogs on either side and they were well behaved. The yard is completely confined for all sizes of dogs. And to be honest, once you tried all the beds and found a good one, it was very comfortable there.
The main concern would be for someone who has a hard time walking. It is a two level house with very steep stairs. But, never-ending, hot water!
