Very nice spot in between Bozeman and Yellowstone. Comfortable bed, beautiful views and great little room. The only downside is it’s in the property owner’s backyard and the lake is a fair walk downhill to get to the lake. The owners were extremely nice and friendly. Recommended spot for a peaceful place to stay while exploring the area.

This guest cottage was amazing...everything needed for a relaxing stay! Super clean and cozy! Unparalleled views in every direction. It is true that the guest house sits behind the main house but that wasn't an issue for us at all. We will definitely book again!

This property is fine. It is certainly clean and new. The listing is a bit misleading in that the space isn't super private and it is not right on the lake. The space is half of the homeowners detached garage and the homeowners house is between the garage and the lake. So, yes, there is lake access, but not at all in the way it is described and photographed in the listing. Apparently you have the freedom to access things like a "wrap around deck", but just know you'd be sitting on someone's deck while they're home (and at times with their own company visiting). The kayaks were fun and the little sitting area down by the water was nice. The homeowners provide all amenities you could think of for remote travel. The nearby town is charming as well. The rental seems like it would be okay for folks looking for the camping-like feel/trip. The price and photos in the listing led us to believe it was right on the lake and more private than it was. We wouldn't stay again, but we would totally recommend it for people who are into a more quirky travel situation.
