    Host was out of town. Bad odors income. Heat hard to figure out. Need to push a random button on non-heating furnace to get the thermostat to turn on the fireplace heaters. Spiral staircase difficult for senior citizens. Contacted owner who did not address the odor issue. We had to go to town to buy air and rug fresheners. Maybe a dead mouse?

    We regret that you experienced a few issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - They’ve never received complaints about odors in over three years of hosting and didn’t notice anything unusual after inspecting the home. That said, they’re taking steps to ensure a consistently fresh experience for all guests.
    - The owner shared that no concerns were mentioned during your stay, but they are always happy to help when made aware of an issue and remain committed to providing responsive communication.
    - The spiral staircase is shown in the listing photos, and while it functions well, the owner understands it may be a bit difficult for some elderly guests. Thankfully, all main living spaces, including bedrooms and the kitchen, are located on the main floor.
    - The heater is thermostat-controlled and usually not needed in warmer months, but the owner will check to ensure it is working properly and will add clearer instructions for future guests.

    It was tight for 8 adults and 2 cildren. Spiral stair meant the second bathroom was not that useful. But it was nice and pri ate, and we e joyed being together.
