For a bit more excitement, drive just 16 miles to Whitefish, where you’ll find a quaint town with boutiques, shops, eateries, and beautiful views of mountain peaks. Alternatively, Kalispell is only 23 miles away, where you can find a taste of city life.
Just 10 minutes away, the city of Columbia Falls offers a plethora of restaurants, drug stores, and grocery stores. Stop by one of the supermarkets right at the start of your vacation to fill the cabin with all the necessities of home.
If you’d like to stay closer to home, you’ll find Hungry Horse to be a quaint town filled with mom and pop restaurants and shops. Stop by Carolyn’s Cafe for a hearty meal!

Hungry horse cabin review
5/5 We were a little shocked by the location, expected it to be just the two cabins but it was in a little neighborhood area

Clean and very well maintained cozy cabin.
5/5 Everything was great. The only negative thing to state is minor and certainly not the owners fault, that the neighborhood is pretty run down and sketchy but we didn't have any issues with the neighbors. Wonderful place and we would definitely stay again.

Mixed Feelings
4/5 The cabin itself is great. Living area, full kitchen, two beds, plus an air mattress we utilized, and two baths for our party of 4 women was wonderful for our Glacier NP visits over two days. The surprise was the street this cabin is on--a little sketchy to be certain. Rough around the edges with dogs running in the street and children's bike's there too. All was fine, though. We had people staying in the twin cabin adjacent to ours on the lot. It was no problem. Space for parking as well. We were hardly there, so it definitely served our purpose well. The host was also very attentive, which was very much appreciated. Compared with hotel type lodging, especially how quickly places close to Glacier book up, this was a good choice.
