My husband and I stayed at this house with another couple (friends) that live out of state. We grew up in the area and were happy to show them around our old stomping grounds, but we also wanted to take in some of the wineries in the area. We went to Herman for Oktoberfest and several wineries in Augusta. The weather wasn't the best, so we spent time at the house too, relaxing and playing some games; we had fun with the foosball table as well! We made dinner one evening and enjoyed the farm pork burgers the owner left for us - delicious! They also left cookies and chocolate as well as a nice note. The house itself had more than enough room for us and learning about the history of the house was great as well. While the house is on five acres it's also still in town and super easy to get anywhere. It was perfect and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!
