This darling cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Located in beautiful Defiance, MO, but nothing beats the view from the front porch in the most comfortable swing. The horses, the birds and lots of deer. We slept great in the extremely comfortable bed. One night there was some severe weather and Nick was so kind to offer us to come over and stsy in there basement. The owners are so very nice. We hope to return in the future.

This little cabin is just adorable and the setting is picture perfect. We lived sitting on front porch in their very comfortable swing. The wonderful views of the hills in the distance, the horses , birds, hummingbirds, deer added to the perfect ambiance. We really enjoyed getting to meet Nick, his previous little girl along with their Goldens, Graham and Teddy. We had some severe weather one night and really appreciated the call from Nick to join them in their basement. Storm passed with no problems. The cabin has all you will need, was very clean and bed was super comfortable, we slept like babies. We really hope to return in the future.
This Defiance Cabin surpassed all our expectations. The check-in process was the easiest, the place was spotless, and the the grounds around it were pristine.
I'll start with how surprised I was to not or feel any mosquitos, I was mind-boggled to be honest! The cabin is well furnished and cozy, with plenty of fans, air-conditioning and blankets when needed. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and more. We didn't even have to buy coffee cuz we were provided with plenty of Keurig pods. Once you get your coffee, open the door and chill on the rocking chairs. The view of the field and mountains seriously reset my brain from all the stress of working in Tech! Sitting on the porch gets you flooded with beautiful sounds of humming birds of scenes of them butting and playing, along with all the other birds on the feeders(woodpeckers, cardinals, and the squirrels!). Our family will always hold on the memory of the horses visiting the fence on sunrise and sunset to pet them, it's definitely magical.
The cabin is just a short drive from STL, google tried took me on the wrong turn, but quickly found the house. Once you leave the highway, it's nothing but beautiful green hills and wineries... This place is an experience that must be had.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin so much. It was great being around so much nature for a change. Birds, horses, hummingbirds, chickens, fishing, visits from Graham (friendly dog of the owners) were some of the highlights. Close to several wineries and easy to get to. We will definitely be back
