Everything was lovely. It is private and quiet even though it is near the highway. Great location. We really enjoyed the master suite, the fire pit, and well-stocked kitchen.
Location to parks couldn't be better. However, it is right on the highway which I didn't realize before booking it. It's a bit busy. Kitchen is stocked with a bunch of stuff! They had it all. Main complaints: Check out procedure was a lot, what's the cleaning fee for?? Heat/AC was super weird. We had to contact the owner to change it on his phone. Also, there's headed floors in the bathrooms but we couldn't get them to consistently work. The lights were odd, most weren't bright enough or had gone out but then the hanging lights in the kitchen gave us headaches cause it was too bright.

Just the cabin we were looking for and needing for our party of six. Easy to find right off the highway, super close to Gooseberry Falls. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and worry free. Only thing lacking was coffee filters and bright lighting (a few bulbs were burnt out). Thanks North Shore Luxury Cabin!

The outside door lock on the patio door in the master bedroom was broken. We were not able to lock the door. Very unsettling to sleep next to an outside door that does not lock. We felt unsafe and vulnerable. Shame on the ownership and management for allowing that situation and for putting my family at risk!
This property should not be a rental! We arrived in the evening and one of the front doors was ajar and we could not lock it. The house is in need of a deep clean and there is a major RODENT issue! House has visible traps throughout! I called first thing the next morning and left a message with all of our concerns. I had to call back 7 hours later since there was no call back. Someone did come to fix the door and window screens, which I then learned the maintenance man was also the one that did the cleaning; he offered to Swiffer the kitchen floor. All other cleaning issues were met with excuses. I was told being up north, mice are normal. -SAW FIRST MOUSE NIGHT ONE; husband captured. AND SECOND MOUSE NIGHT TWO!! -Front glass doors were covered in fingerprints and paw prints. -Thick dust on shelves and lamps -Kitchen floor was filthy -All appliances were covered in fingerprints and stove top was greasy and oven was dirty -Outside grill was caked with old cooked on food-No mattress protectors on bedsThe list could go on….Even without the cleaning issues, the mice issue is inexcusable and needs to be resolved. I did all the right steps in trying to resolve the issues, but it was ignored. Contacted the management company and after many phone calls and emails, they credited the cleaning fee. VRBO gave me the run around for weeks and ultimately said they couldn’t credit anything because it was at the management company’s discretion and it was now over 30 days after the fact (if I wouldn’t have gotten the run around for weeks, it wouldn’t have been over 30 days). We have stayed at many VRBO’s and have always been very pleased, but this one makes me question staying at one ever again.
