• Cozy little place.

  We came to Mound for the ribbon cutting on the Eli Hart Memorial Playground, and this house was right down the road. Troy was really nice. Met him on the first day, and he made sure to greet me and let me know where to find extra blankets and such. The house was smaller than expected, but pictures can make things look larger. But the amount of room we had was perfect and my family of 4 were very comfortable. Central AC is getting installed next week, but there were two window units and two fans, and once we got those set up, the house cooled down very quickly and to the point where the kids were cold. I definitely will recommend this place as well as rent again if ever needed in the future.

  Besides maneuvering some fans around to circulate the air, our stay was wonderful! Troy was great and answered promptly to our inquiries. Sweet gesture of treats there to greet us upon our arrival. Within walking distance to farmers market, grocery store, beach and a yummy ice cream shop! Provided a wonderful setting to visit my sister and the canoe was a great amentity along with the bikes which we unfortunately didn't have time to use. Thanks so much for a great experience.

• Bare minimum

  This place offers the bare minimum to guests and feels depressing. It technically has all the things it says, but the air conditioning is on the porch and not the bedroom or main area of the house, the kitchen exists but isn’t stocked enough to cook in, and the kayaks are there but you have to walk through 10 feet of mud to get in the lake. It’s on a main road and is loud. It’s not peaceful, so we complained about all of these things and left after one hour. It was worth going to a better place even though we couldn’t get any refund, not even a partial or cleaning fee refund despite not using the place at all.

  Hello! We’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the owner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We strive to provide all of our guests with a 5-star experience and to make them as happy as possible.
  - The A/C is in the sunroom along with fans to spread the cool air through the house. During the night of your stay, it was 65°F, which would have also kept the home at a comfortable temperature.
  - The kitchen is fully equipped for a guest's short stay, including a cookie sheet, pots, pans, a knife set, a blender, a coffee maker (with coffee, non-dairy, and sugar), a toaster, an ice maker, a grill utensil set and much more. Additionally, we only heard from you regarding cooking oil. We wish you would have given us the opportunity to assist you with any other questions or concerns during your stay.
  - When using the kayaks or canoe, guests will have to walk 5 to 10 feet from the dock to the shore. We're always available and willing to help if guests want to use the water accessories. Additionally, the lake is more than 300 feet from the road and is very quiet and peaceful.
  - When it was discovered that you were dissatisfied with the accommodations, we were happy to offer the guest house on-site for your use instead.
  We truly go above and beyond and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

  The tea house was so cute and fit our needs perfectly! Troy was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area! We cannot wait to be back again next year! Thank you!

  We really enjoyed the tea house! It was clean and comfortable. Troy was a great host. We can’t wait to visit again next year!
