  • Neat place in a nice neighborhood!

    5/5

The house is right next to a walking path, and playgrounds. Coffee, grocery stores, and restaurants are just a short drive. It is close to Mankato State University, and there is quite a lot of traffic/road noise. We were also visiting sights in New Ulm - about a 25 minute scenic drive. Minneopa State Park is less than 10 miles away - we saw bison, and a trickle of a waterfall (very dry season this year). Exploring the water bed below the waterfall couldn't have been done had there been more water, so it was still VERY COOL!The house fit our group well - 3 bedrooms, and a pull out sofa-bed, reasonably priced. 2 good-sized bathrooms with showers is a must with more than 6 people. The kitchen area was good sized, and had the basic supplies there for you to use. There is a little outdoor sitting space in the backyard. The weather was perfect for s'mores, but no firepit available at the time (would be a nice addition :)The owners had a booklet of things to do in the area, and treats/coupons were left for us. They were also easy to contact, and the check-in process was super-smooth! All and all, a very nice place to stay at a reasonable price!
