Mosquitoes, ants, no privacy
2/5 When we got to the property the house was full of mosquitoes, I’m not talking a few, it was full, we sat and were killing mosquitoes for hours! The master bathroom has big black ants! So it’s obvious they are coming through a hole somewhere! There was no privacy at all, there is a cabin on each side of you, you can’t walk to the lake because there’s a cabin below! The cupboards are fridge were full of food, I emailed the house contact and never got a response, we didn’t know if someone was going to show up or not!! Absolutely much better places to stay!

Hi Rochelle, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- Mosquitoes are common in the Chippewa National Forest, especially during early evening hours with frequent entry and exit. We recommend keeping doors closed as much as possible to minimize this issue
- While there are seasonal cabins on either side of the property, they were unoccupied during your stay
- Condiments are intentionally left in the fridge for guests to use, but there is always adequate space for your own food
- We attempted to provide clear instructions on accessing the lake before your arrival
- The contact information provided includes the homeowner's personal cellphone number. To date, no communication has been received from you
